Ellen LaVerna Holton
1934 ~ 2014
Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister returned home to her Heavenly Father on October 3, 2014.
She was born on February 21, 1934 in Smithfield, Utah to Joseph and Ruth Gittens. Ellen was the oldest of thirteen children.
She married Clinton Author Holton on November 27, 1950. They had ten children. Norman, Allen, Janell Euler, Jack, Ronald, Cynthia Orme, Sandra Christenson, Alex, Earl and Clinton. She had 31 grandchildren 28 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Clinton A. Holton and sons, Ronald and Clinton.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, Utah. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Friday evening and 1 hour prior to the services.
