- Isabell Tennessee Williams Gittins, 87 of Smithfield, passed away on June 21, 2007 at Sunshine Terrace in Logan.
Isabell was born March 15, 1920 in Montpelier, Idaho to Elizabeth and James Brownlow Williams. She spent her early years in Montpelier. The family the moved to California for a short time, then to Smithfield, Utah where she grew up and attended school.
On February 13, 1936 she married Lorin DuWayne "Wayne" Gittins in Preston, Idaho. That marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple in 1979. Isabell and Wayne had six children: JoAnn (deceased) (Glen) Huff; Jerry (Eunice) Gittins, Smithfield; Jim (Nola) Gittins, Smithfield; Janae (Dee) Greene, Chubbuck Idaho; Jay (Mary Lou) Gittins, Smithfield; and Jedd Gittins, Smithfield.
Isabell was a homemaker most of her life. In later years she worked for a time at Weeks Dairy in Smithfield, The Cache Valley Dairy Association in Amalga, and for the School District in Smithfield. She held several church callings including Primary and Visiting Teaching.
She was richly blessed throughout her life with a kind and gentle nature, a loving husband, and many friends and a family that will dearly miss her.
She is survived by four brothers, Jack, Earl, Russ, and Gene, five children, twenty-three grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband Wayne, a brother Don, a sister June, a daughter JoAnn, two grandsons, and one great grandson.
