    • (Research):In Ann's will she mentions her niece-in-laws Sarah Ann Gregory and Sarah Rebecca Gregory but I have not been able to identify these people.

      A niece-in-law is defined as the daughter-in-law of one's brother or sister. Using this definition would mean that Ann's brother had two sons, one married Sarah Ann and another married a Sarah Rebecca. It would also mean that Ann's maiden name was Gregory.

      Alternately, Ann's sister would have married a "Gregory" and they again would have had two sons, one married Sarah Ann and another married a Sarah Rebecca.

      Have not had any luck with these searches...I wonder whether or not Ann's will uses the correct family relationship defination?

      I have a suspision that this is Ann Elphinstone who married Judge Benjamin Gittens Esq. Age fits in that Ann would have been about 76 when she died. There is no mention of children in Ann's will and that makes sense in that all of her children except Rebecca would have died with children. CCG
