Catherine Elizabeth Herche, 87, of Sykesville, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House in Westminster.
Born Aug. 26, 1923, in Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Harmon and Lucy Ellen Sheets Buzzard.
She was the wife of the late Henry David Herche.
She had been a homemaker for most of her life.
Surviving are daughter and son-in-law Betty and Jim Smith, of Westminster; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Herche; grandchildren Jesse and Job Herche, Eric Crews, Heather Charlebois, Charity and Nick Smith; and great-grandchildren Max and Scarlett Crews.
She was predeceased by a son, Don Herche.
Interment and graveside service was at Mountain Grove Cemetery in Mountain Grove, Va.
