Remo Gittens
Services will be held Friday for Remo Idalia Gittens, 83, who died on May 26, 2008, at Beth Israel Hospital in Newark, N.J.
The viewing will be at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Frederiksted with services following at 11. Burial will be in Frederiksted Cemetery. A memorial service was held on May 31 at Grace Church in Newark.
She is survived by her children, Dolores Carter-Brown, Douglas Carter Sr., Dorothy Carter, Dorene Carter, Denis Carter and Rigmor Barron; grandchildren, Earl, Dolores, Donald and Charles Waterman, Adelaine Marie, Aredious, and Titus Brown Jr., Andrea Carter-Latimer, Sharon Dopwell, Charlene and Erica Carter, Verena Henry and Douglas Carter Jr., Dosycar Gem Carter, Denis, Shiniqua, DeRhoda and Kareem Carter and Shiniqua Carter Dunston, Shomari, Kalila and Jarel Moorehead, Lorilyn Bryan, Jermaine, Vonzola, Rodena, and Thomas Barron Jr.; son-in-law, Thomas Barron; daughter-in-law, Beryl Carter; brothers, Leopold and Otto Gittens; sister, Isabelle Gordon-Alves; aunt, Frances Ann Francis; 39 great-grandchildren; 34 nephews and nieces; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
Arrangements are by Cotton Funeral Home in Newark, N.J., and James Memorial Funeral Home.
