    • Wilmot Gittens and Angela Gittens have been joined as husband and wife through information I recevied in a posting to my web site by Patricia Gittens dated Nov 10 2015 which read as follows:

      To Lyndell and Cliff,
      My mother is from St Croix, USVI (James family) but because she married a Gittens, that's my last name. I frequent St Croix and often need to explain that I don't belong to the Gittens of St Croix. BUT it seems that there may be two branches, each who say that they originate from Barbados. And one of them have "claimed" me because I look just like them.However they didn't didn't know of a Francis Gittens, which is all the information I had at the time before losing contact with them for a little while. I've also come to meet Angela Naughton who married a Frederick Griffith and later Wilmot Gittens. She passed away in 2010 leaving Stephen Griffith, and John,Ronald and Rebecca Gittens. With recent information I can look for any connections with the Gittens of St Croix.
