I am assuming James was also a Quaker as he uses the term "friends" in his will and there is no record of his marriage or the birth of his children that I can find. It is also fairly likely that his wife Rebecca Gittens was also a quaker, as her father John Gittens Senior, was a Quaker. CCG

    • From the wills of David Kelley Sr. dated $ Jan 1689 and from the will of David Kelly dated 7 Apr 1686 it is concluded that Alice Griffith was the mother of David Kelly Sr and grandmother of David Kelly. Therefore, Alice must have first married a Kelley who later died after fathering children with Alice. Alice remarried Hubert Griffith and they had issue.
