- Marjorie E. "Marti" Yazzie
July 29th 1951 ~ Aug. 8th, 2014
Born July 29th 1951 in Salem Oregon, died peacefully in her West Valley City home on August 8th, 2014. Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister fought a hard battle with cancer.
Marti was very compassionate when it came to her pets. Her dogs were her companions during these rough last few months. She married Delbert Yazzie on June 21st 2003. Her passions were playing in her garden,
crocheting, and sewing. She played the piano and guitar.
Marti is survived by husband Delbert Yazzie; brother Martin Overton; Children, Michele (Shane) Sieverts, Jason Workman; grandchildren Cody, Tyler and Brookel Pay, and Hannah Workman. She had a very special niece, NaeNae Yazzie, and many more nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents Mervin and Ermine Gittins.
The Family would like to thank all the staff at the Utah Cancer Specialist for there love and support.
A Celebration of Life will beheld on Thursday August 14th 2014 at 1:00 pm at the Stake Center: 5000 West Pavant Ave., West Valley City, UT 84120.
