Born in Barbados, he was a son of the late Edgar [ should be Edwin] and Ann (Foster) Gittens. He is survived by his wife, the former Jean Francis; a brother, Edgar, Nanoose Bay, BC; a sister, Hilda, Toronto; a son Barrie, Meteghan; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Clements, Toronto; and five grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Edward.

In the same row on the right, Aunt 'Toosie' is holding Jessica who is wearing a bonnet. Picture was taken on the lawn in front of Boylston. I have no memory of the afternoon.
