My great-great-grandfather's name was William Lord Gittens born in Barbados and lived in Mahogany lane he migrated to Grenada as an adult and opened a Sweet drink factory(Soda pop factory)as well as acar service and grocery store. The soda pop factory was named "Gittens and Son's". He had two daughters while married that migrated to the NY. One lived on manhattan ave (her married name was Hoston). He also had many children out of marrige (Bertie Gittens (stayed in Grenada), William Ulric Gittens(migrated to Trinidad-also my grand father), Agatha Gittens (migrated to Trinidad and years later to England), Helena Gittens (Lived and died in Grenada), Brownie Gittens (lived and died in Grenada), Alberta Gittens (migrated to Trinidad), Fred Gittens (migrated to Trinidad), David Gittens (migrated to Trinidad then England- the only one still alive because my g-g-grandfather had him when he was 75 years old).
My faily does not know where any of my great great grandfather's relatives are at this time. We know that we are spread out between-Barbados, Trinidad, Grenada, England and many here in New York.
