To wife Jane Gittens my mansion house with kitchen and room thereto belongings, also 4 slaves for life and all he furniture in my house forever. Extrs to pay an anniuty of 40 pounds for life, also her victuals out of the profits of my estate in lieu of .... After her death the building and negros for my exec.
To son John Gittens a negro boy and an annuity of 30 pounds for life out of the esate. Exec to grind and boil off all of my son John's sugar canes and deliver him all the profits and produce gratis during his natural life.
To daughter Hannah Kirton wife of John Kirton 9 1/2 acres whereon she now lives and 3 negros. Also 100 pounds, 50 pounds for puchase of 2 young negros in 1 year and 50 pounds to purchase boards and timber for building a house on the land within 2 years.
To daughter Tomazin Gittens, 300 pounds and 5 pounds to buy a negro and 20 pounds to buy a bed and furniture on marriage, meanwhile her maintenance.
To daughter Jane Gittens, a negro girl and 400 pounds, 30 pounds for a bed and furniture on marriage, meanwhile her mantenance.
To daughter Oriana Gittens, a negro girl and 400 pounds, 30 pounds for a bed and furniture on marriage, meanwhile her mantenance.
To son Benjamin a negro and 400 pounds, 200 pounds after he is fre ofapprenticeship and 200 in 2 years thereafter, and maintenance mean while.
To son Nathaniel 25 pounds when free of apprenticeship and 200 pounds in 2 years thereafter for purchasing a slave, also 300 pounds and maintenance mean while.
To son Isac a negro boy and 300 pounds and maintenance mean while.
To grandson John Gittens, son of John 500 pounds at 21.
To grandson Joseph Gittens, son of John 500 pounds at 21.
To granddaughter Jane Gittens, daughter of John 500 pounds at 21.
To grandson Joseph Kirton son of John 50 pounds at 21.
To granddaughter Mary Kirton 50 pounds at 21 or marriage.
To granddaughter Jane Kirton 50 pounds at 21 or marriage.
If my children or grandchildren die their legacy for Exec. Residue for son Joseph Gittens, he is sole Exec.
