Obituary
Enid C. Glover, 96, of Ridgefield, wife of the late Vincent A. Glover, died on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at her residence.
Mrs. Glover was born in Trinidad, July 14, 1917, daughter of Connell and Elaine (Johnson) Gittens.
She came to the United States as a child, settling with her family in New York, NY where she attended New York public schools, graduated from Haaren High School, and was employed as a supervisor with the New York Police Department at the time of her retirement.
A resident of Ridgefield since coming from the Bronx in 1998, Mrs. Glover first resided at Ballard Green and for the past seven years resided at Congregate Housing.
Mrs. Glover is survived by three daughters, Diane Cinque and her husband, Thomas of Copake, NY, Cynthia Veilleux and her husband, Bert of Ridgefield, CT and Susan Glover and her husband, Brian Murphy of Germantown, NY; a son, Ronald Glover of Chatham, NJ; six grandchildren, Christopher Glover, Jill Glover, Adam Ammirata, Nicole Ammirata, Laura Murphy and Claire Murphy and four great grandchildren, Reese Glover, Ryan Glover, Adam Ammirata, Jr. and Alena Ammirata.
Funeral services will take place in the Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah St., Ridgefield on Thursday, June 13, 2014 at 6:30 PM.
The family will receive friends in the Kane Funeral Home on Thursday from 4 PM to 7 PM.
