"Tag" as I know him is a good friend who Ihave known since school days,played a lot of tennis with and see whenI visit Orlando, FL. Interestingly my father, Theodore AubreyGittens, married Helen Margaret Packer so they were Theodore A. andHelen M. Gittens many years before Tag and Helen. In anothercoincidence, one of my brothers is John Charles Gittens while Tag andHelen named their son Juan Carlos. I never knew my grandfather whodied quite young and only know that his name was Aubrey Gittens. Ibelieve he had a brother, Connell Gittens, who lived in Trinidad andhad no children. I intended to research the family when I retired butso far have not got around to it. Hope you have made good progress. Years ago a Gittens from the USA who had done a lot of researchthere, but had not traced how they firrst got there, visited Barbados. I don't think he found much however he subsequently published a bookon the US family and sent a copy to my mother. Regards Andrew |
