Yes, I do. Attached are the birth certificates for my maternal grandparents and their marriage certificate and a couple of photos of my grandparents.
Details are:
My maternal grandmother -
Marie Irene Laughlin - Born 5 July 1889, Port of Spain, Trinidad (father Thomas R.N. Laughlin and mother Henriette Deborah Laughlin formlery Roachford)
Died 19 September 1984 in Levin, New Zealand
My maternal grandfather -
Henry Browne Philipps (junior) - Born 13 May 1885, Port of Spain, Trinidad (father Henry Browne Philipps (senior) and mother Edith Philipps formerly Archer)
Died 26 September 1963 in Trinidad
The following is some history of the Philipps family provided by my Uncle (Mum's brother) - David Philipps which gives a date of death for my great-grandfather:
"Henry Browne Philipps was the Mayor of Port of Spain, Trinidad for two terms and a street in that city is named after him.
Henry Browne Philipps (senior), died 8th of September 1896 leaving two children,
Henry Browne Philipps (junior) and Ida Philipps.
Ida Philipps married a Houghton and had two children, Rex and Kitty.
Henry Browne Philipps (junior) married Marie Irene Laughlin and had six children, named Harry, Derek, Edith, Robin, David and Victor."
Cliff, I am not sure whether it was HB Philipps senior or junior who was the Mayor of P.O.S., but I am trying to find out some more information on that and will let you know. I have lots more info on the Philipps side which I will slowly send through.
I think I will get this off to you now and then I will answer your other Foster questions in a separate email.
Thank you for your concern over the NZ earthquake. Thankfully none of the family live near Christchurch - all of our immediate family are in the North Island of NZ. Having said that, Jacky my youngest sister lives in Wellington which is also supposed to be on a major fault line - we'll say a prayer that nothing eventuates there...
For your information, my sister Carol and I live in Queensland, Australia with our families and have been safe from all the floods and cyclones recently afflicting our state.
The three people I am cc-ing into these emails are Carol, my eldest nephew Adam Praat in New Zealand and my sister Ann Marie's youngest daughter in NZ, Lauren Andrews.
