| Text | Biography Ebenezer was the son of John and Jane (Hall) Elton. He married as her first husband, Patience Bradley, daughter of Nathan and Hester (Griswold) Bradley, about 1711 - parents of Ebenezer Elton II Ebenezer died or was presumed lost at sea on a voyage to England in 1719. His wife, Patience, is identified as a widow when their son Hopestill was born on September 2, 1719.[1] After Ebenezer's death, Patience married Daniel Cruttenden, son of Abraham and Susanna (Kirby) Cruttenden, most likely in 1720.
