Deceased Name: Eric C. Gittins
A Mass for Eric C. Gittins, 88, of Lakeside, was said today in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church. Burial was in Alpine Cemetery. Lakeside-Santee Funeral Home was in charge. He died Friday in a hospital.
Mr. Gittins, a native of England, lived in the county 39 years and had been a General Dynamics electrician. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include a daughter, Jane O'Neil of Spring Valley; two sons, Robert, of El Cajon, and Eric, of Lawndale, Calif.; a brother, Vincent, of New York; three sisters, Irene Lapenta and Elsie Sinscheiner, both of New Jersey, and Rhoda Kaiser of Florida; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
