Here lies the body
of JOHN KIRTON, M.D.
who departed this life
July 15th 1732

In his publick character
he was skillful and charitable
In his private life
he was affectionate and sincere
Here aflo lies
ANN his wife
who died
Auguft 1st 1765
aged 65 years
She was a pattern
of domestic occonomy
and to her children
she amply fupplied
the lofs of their father
She faithfully performed
the various duties
which Heaven committed
to her charge
and is gone where only
she can receive her reward
Sacred to the memory
of such virtues
this humble monument
is raised by the furviving daughter
of the aforefaid JOHN and ANN KIRTON |
