Please find attached Baptism and Burial records from Aylsham for Amy Gitten as well as her marriage to Edward Lawes in the same place. In addition there is the marriage in Yarmouth St Nicholas of John Gitten of Aylsham and Mary Bowman which fits perfectly with Amy's baptism. I think that transcriptions are available from FreeReg.
In 1782 she took over the tax in Norwich St Giles from her husband and was listed as Widow Lawes. In 1792 she was listed as Amy Lawes and this continued on until after she died when it went from being Amy Lawes to Tooley late Lawes.?In 1798 Land Tax for Aylsham Widow Lawes is listed as a propritor with a tenant who paid 8 shillings, it seems likely that this is the same person. She last appeared in the Land Tax records in 1797 in the Parish of St Giles, Norwich.
I am not directly descended from Amy, I am from an earlier marriage of Edward Lawes to Elizabeth Suffield, they were my 4X Great grandparents.
