SOLES, Donald Bruce age 81, of Seminole, FL, passed away on Tuesday October 26, 2021, with his loving family by his side, Donald was born on July 14, 1940, in Geneva, NY. Donald attended school in Phelps, NY and worked as a mechanic. Donald relocated to Florida where he began working for the Pinellas County School Board as a mechanic. After 30 years of employment he retired from his job but remained a loyal friend to his coworkers. Donald is predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Hazel Soles (Gittens); his loving wife of 40 years, Judy Soles (Mears); and brother, Sherman Soles. He is survived by his children, John Soles (Terry) and Donna Soles (Anthony); stepdaughter, Julie Avera; grandchildren, Michael, Amanda, Alexis, Kimberly, Travis, Spring, Crystal, and Lillie; great- grandchildren, McKinley, Lorenzo, Peyton, Derek, Abby, Jack, and Aleyah; nephews, Dan and Tim Soles; and many other family members and friends. Donald was never hesitant to offer a helping hand to anyone at any time. He enjoyed Nascar and was an avid Dale Earnhardt, Sr. fan. Donald enjoyed working on cars and fixing whatever needed to be fixed. He enjoyed turning "junk" into a treasure. You would often find Donald working in his garage or a friend's garage or simply relaxing with friends and family, sharing many wonderful stories. Donald was loved by many and will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank Donald's friends for their love and support throughout his years. Words could not express our sincere gratitude. Visitation for Donald will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021, from 1-3 pm, at Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Rd., Largo, FL 33774, followed by a funeral service from 3-4 pm.
