Dear Cliff
So sad to have to tell you that Mum died earlier this evening (9 March 2019 [S/B Jan 9 2019] West Sussex, England).
She had a good innings, a varied and often exciting life, and her 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren will miss her.
Over the past few years, since we discovered her family in Canada (through yourself of course) she has given me lots of snippets of information regarding both her upbringing and my father’s family life, and ever since then I have immersed myself in genealogy, albeit in a very amateur fashion.
I shall continue to delve into our family history and hopefully leave everything in good order for the next generation.
Mum was delighted when you and I first made contact, and really enjoyed sending you emails at Christmas. Thank you so much for taking the time to write to her, and for making her so happy.
