    Only a fragment of what seems to be her baptismal record remains. It states:
    - of - and Eliza: Gittens.The date is obliterated, but it seems to have been written around March 1744.

    I think this is Margaret's baptismal record because Benjamin Gittens, who made his Will in 1762, mentions her as 'his beloved kinsman Margaret Gittens, daughter of my uncle Isaac '.
    Benjamin left her 500 Pounds, so she must have been old enough to receive it without a guardian.
