    Item. …to my much esteemed friend Thomas Ostrehan Esq. …of the parish of St. Michael…all and every sum of money which shall be due and owing to me at the time of my death…from the estate of the Honourable Joshua Gittens deceased….arrears of interest on a deed of Trust executed by me and my deceased Husband John Hamlet Gittens to the said Honourable Joshua Gittens deceased… the rest remainder and residue of my estate… for the following uses intents and purposes that is to say. In trust and for the only proper use benefit and behoof of my two grandsons John Gittens and George Duncan Gittens, sons of John Hamlet Gittens and Lucretia Gittens to be equally divided… I nominate and appoint the said Thomas Ostrehan sole executor…5 August 1831.[sighed with x]
