Thank you very much for the information. I have forwarded it to Robin's sister Nya who lives in Italy. Nya is the daughter of Pat's first marriage to Ted Fossberg. She will be visiting us at Easter and we are intending to work on the family tree when she does. I'm collating as much material as possible before then. As we uncover various facts we will gladly share them with you and I will copy and send some of the photographs of the family over the next few days.
Annie was called Winifred and seems to have been known both as Wyn and Annie at various times in her life.
We have Robin's mother's birthday book in which the Inces, Longfield -Smiths and Wyndham-Gittens are listed .
Harold Ince was born on May 16 in 1916; Audley Nigel Carlisle Ince (known as Nigel) Sept 28th 1914 - 9th July 2001; Kathleen Wendy Ince (named after her mother) was born April 1st 1919 died January 26th 1976. Coincidentally Susan, Wendy's daughter was also born on April 1st in 1948; their mother Kathleen Wendy Ince nee Wyndham-Gittens (Kay) was born on October 4th 1891. I don't have NIgel's father's details.
Nigel and Pat were married in New York on 25th October in 1946.
Unfortunately as Robin's mother and Nigel divorced, a lot of the papers relating to the Inces have been lost. We are writing to the executor of his will to ascertain whether any remain amongst his belongings
Robin is sure that Carleton and Florence didn't have any children. Pat, ( Robin's mother) referred to the grandparents being related whether she meant Fenwick and Florence Mann or a familial link with the Inces I'm not sure - do you know if that is correct?
Towards the end of her life my mother in law began to write down family details - she had an excellent memory for events - but unfortunately was unable to finish this so our information is incomplete. As I piece everything together I'll share it with you.
I will scan the photographs tomorrow. If they don't scan well I'll have them copied and will send them.
